Check-in

As your family and friends make their way into Desert Financial Arena, all graduates should head over to check-in at tables outside the southeast entrance of Mountain America Stadium. Once checked in, you'll proceed to the west tunnel of Desert Financial Arena to be seated with other students in your major.   

A maroon cap and gown, and tassel are required to participate and can be purchased from any Sun Devil Campus Store. 

If you are an on-site student graduating with honors, you can pick up your honor cords at any University Registrar Services location. If you are an ASU Online student, you will receive an email with additional information about honor cords and ceremonies after you apply to graduate.

What you can expect

To participate in CISA Convocation, you need to register using the link found on your My ASU page. Your registration ensures that your name will be read as you accept your diploma cover and cross the stage. 

Upon arrival on the evening of the CISA Convocation ceremony, you will check-in at Mountain America Stadium and receive your personalized reader card before proceeding to the west tunnel of Desert Financial Arena.

Ushers will guide you to your degree program's seating area on the arena floor.

The CISA Convocation ceremony will last approximately 2 hours.

Your diploma will be mailed to your home address on file with the university 8-10 weeks after graduation.

Photography

Grad Images is the official photographer of the CISA Convocation ceremony. Graduates will be photographed twice during the ceremony.

Tickets are not issued for this event. Invite your friends and family to attend this joyous occasion.

Parking

Free parking is available near Desert Financial Arena and Mountain America Stadium in Packard Drive South Structure, Lot 58, and Lot 59. There are also paid parking options nearby.

Security and safety

A clear bag policy will be in effect at CISA Convocation, and Undergraduate and Graduate Commencement ceremonies. Please review the ASU Bag Policy for a list of prohibited items. 

As of March 14, 2022, face coverings will not be required across ASU campuses.

Accessible seating and special assistance

Accessible seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Family and friends accompanying someone requiring accessible seating are invited to sit in the rows directly in front of this section. It is recommended that you arrive at least one hour before the ceremony to secure your spot. 

Wheelchair checkout will be available at the north entrance of Desert Financial Arena—a photo ID will be required.

Closed captioning of the ceremony will be provided.
